With 11 years of experience creating user-centric innovative and compelling graphic design for the Web, Identity, and Print and in-depth studies of psychology, I am currently looking to refine the focus of my career more toward the User Experience Design area. I am committed to do so in the the San Francisco Area.
My background in art/design and advertising, coupled with my studies in psychology and experience in front-end development and programming, provides me with a solid understanding of user behavior and motivation and enables me to deftly translate the client’s objectives, marketing or otherwise, into successful creative strategies and technical products. I further have the skills to communicate these concepts to developers and programmers through verbal and written communication as well as wire-frames, prototypes, and site-maps. It is my intention to further my academic endeavor, eventually to the level of PhD and beyond, in pursuit of the most complete understanding of the relationship between users and the application entity.
Strengths in the field of web development include Web/GUI design, XHTML, CSS, site optimization and User Experience Development. I am also an expert in the areas of brand identity development, packaging, print design (including collateral materials and advertising), typography and color theory.
